Stone countertops: the functional luxury of your interior

A countertop is a work surface that every day withstands significant loads: cutting, impacts, high temperatures, contact with moisture and chemicals. At the same time a countertop is an important design element that defines the character of the whole room. Natural stone and large-format porcelain stoneware perfectly combine practicality with unrivalled aesthetics.

M-STONE is an expert in making and installing countertops and window sills of marble, travertine, onyx and porcelain stoneware in Kyiv and Ukraine. We create products that serve for decades, keeping their beauty and functionality.

Caring for countertops

Marble

Daily care

  • Wiping with a soft damp cloth
  • Using pH-neutral products
  • Immediately removing spilled liquids (especially acidic ones!)

What you must NOT do

  • Cut food without a board

  • Leave stains for long

Periodic care

  • Renewing the water-repellent treatment (once a year)

  • Professional restoration (once every 5-10 years)

Travertine

As with marble, plus:

  • Checking the condition of the pore filling
  • Extra attention to porous areas

Onyx

The most delicate care:

  • Only gentle products
  • Avoiding any mechanical impact
  • Regular water-repellent treatment
  • Caution with the lighting (do not overheat)

Porcelain stoneware

Daily care

  • Ordinary washing with any products
  • Resistance to acids and alkalis
  • You can cut on the surface (although not recommended)

What you must NOT do

  • Put very hot cookware down (thermal shock for the grout)
  • Strike with heavy objects (chips are possible)
