Installing Large-Format Tile in Kyiv: A Professional Approach from M-STONE

Introduction: why large-format tile is becoming a trend in modern design

Large-format tile and porcelain stoneware are rapidly winning the finishing materials market in Ukraine. It is no accident: modern technology makes it possible to produce slabs of 120×120 cm, 120×240 cm, 160×320 cm and even larger, which opens up limitless possibilities for the boldest design ideas. However, installing such a material requires special professionalism, special equipment and deep knowledge of the laying technology.

M-STONE is a recognised expert in installing large-format tile, porcelain stoneware and also natural stone: travertine, marble and onyx. Our team works in Kyiv and the Kyiv region, providing clients with European-quality workmanship.

We work in all districts of Kyiv: Pecherskyi, Shevchenkivskyi, Obolonskyi, Darnytskyi, Desnianskyi, Dniprovskyi, Holosiivskyi, Podilskyi, Sviatoshynskyi and Solomianskyi.

Substrate preparation

Quality preparation is the key to the durability of the surface. Our craftsmen carry out:

• Dismantling old coverings
• Levelling the screed
• Installing waterproofing
• Priming the surface
• Checking the level with laser equipment

Cutting large-format tile

Cutting large formats requires specialised equipment. We use professional tile cutters with water cooling, which ensures a perfectly straight cut without chips.

Laying the tile

Installation is carried out to European standards with all technological requirements observed. We work with tile of any size, from 60×60 cm to 160×320 cm and larger.

Grouting the joints

For large-format tile special epoxy-based grouts are used, which ensure the watertightness and durability of the joints.

Natural stone: travertine, marble, onyx

In addition to porcelain stoneware, M-STONE specialises in working with natural stone. These are premium materials that give an interior unique luxury and elegance.

Travertine

Travertine is a natural stone of volcanic origin with a characteristic porous structure. It is excellent for:

• Finishing floors in living spaces

Travertine has warm natural shades, from cream to brown, which creates a cosy atmosphere in any room.

Marble

Marble has been a symbol of luxury and status for millennia. M-STONE works with the best grades of marble:

• Carrara white marble
• Calacatta
• Statuario
• Emperador
• Nero Marquina

Marble is used for:

• Floors in lobbies and living rooms
• Finishing bathrooms
• Countertops and window sills
• Stairs and balustrades
• Fireplace surrounds

Onyx

Onyx is a semi-precious stone with a unique ability to transmit light. It creates a magical effect when backlit and is used for:
