Materials suitable for exteriors

• Porcelain stoneware with a water absorption coefficient < 0.1% and anti-slip rating R11-R13 (technical series from Lapitec, Florim, Granitech).
• Travertine (filled, impregnated) is a classic choice for pools and terraces.
• Granite, basalt, porphyry: maximum frost resistance.
• Marble: only in protected areas (an indoor pool, a terrace under a roof).

• Substrate: concrete screed ≥ 10 cm, reinforcement, slope 1-2%.
• Waterproofing in 2-3 layers (Mapelastic AquaDefense, PCI Seccoral, Sika TopSeal).
• C2TES2/S2 adhesive with high deformation: Kerakoll H40 Marine, Mapei Keraflex Maxi S1, Ardex X 90.
• Double application + vibration.
• Joints 3-5 mm, epoxy grout (Kerapoxy CQ, Starlike Defender).
• Expansion joints every 3-4 m + around the perimeter.
• Anti-slip impregnation/grinding.
