Marble and large-format slab bathroom

The task

In a bathroom stone meets water every day, so waterproofing, slopes and a quality adhesive are critical. Large slabs mean fewer joints, and the marble pattern is matched across the whole surface.

What was done

• waterproofing and substrate preparation with the required slopes;
• laying out marble slabs and matching the veins;
• cladding walls, the shower area and niches;
• making a countertop with an integrated sink and grouting the joints.

Materials and format

Marble needs careful handling and protection from stains, so we choose suitable adhesives and recommend care products. Large-format porcelain slabs that imitate marble also suit shower areas.

Stages of work

1. Consultation and measuring: we assess the volume and the substrate and recommend a material.
2. Quote: we fix the cost by format, volume and additional works.
3. Substrate preparation: grinding, waterproofing, levelling, level control.
4. Cutting and installation according to the layout, levelling system.
5. Grouting, cleaning and handover of the result together with you.
