Interior with marble and book-match

The task

In premium interiors stone becomes the decor: a symmetrical book-match pattern, marble islands, backlit panels. Such work starts with the layout and the selection of slabs from one batch.

What was done

• layout and numbering of slabs before installation;
• book-match and vein-match with continuing veins;
• cladding walls, islands and floors;
• minimal joints and protection of the stone.

Materials and format

Book-match needs a larger allowance for trimming, so the allowance in the calculator is higher than for straight laying. We choose materials together with the designer or architect.

Stages of work

1. Consultation and measuring: we assess the volume and the substrate and recommend a material.
2. Quote: we fix the cost by format, volume and additional works.
3. Substrate preparation: grinding, waterproofing, levelling, level control.
4. Cutting and installation according to the layout, levelling system.
5. Grouting, cleaning and handover of the result together with you.
