What Determines the Cost of Laying Large-Format Tile in Kyiv

The question of cost is the most frequent one. Laying tile of 120×60 cm and larger costs significantly more than standard 60×60 cm work. And this is justified by the specifics of the process. In this article we look at what the price is made up of on the Kyiv and Ukrainian market in 2026.

What affects the cost of the work?

• Dimensions and weight: the larger the slab, the more craftsmen are needed to position it. Slabs from 240 cm long are installed by at least three people.
• Diamond drilling and high-precision cutting are charged separately.
• Room geometry: niches, columns and external corners (45° mitres) increase the labour.
• Type of surface: installation on walls is always more expensive than on floors because of the difficulty of fixing heavy elements.

Why should you not save on craftsmen?

Large-format porcelain stoneware is an expensive material. A mistake in cutting or a wrongly chosen adhesive will make the slab crack a month after the renovation. The cost of redoing it (dismantling, buying a new slab, installing again) will be 3-4 times higher than the “saving” on a cheap crew.
